Intel's
Paul Otellini to visit India
New Delhi: Paul Otellini, Intel Corporation's president,
and chief executive officer, is visiting India on May
23rd & 24th this year.
This
is Otellini's second visit to India, and first as the
company's CEO. Otellini's itinerary will comprise meetings
with key business leaders, customers and CEOs in India.
During his two day visit, Otellini will spend time in
Bangalore and Mumbai. He will address the media in Bangalore
on Tuesday, May 23, 2006.
At
Mumbai, he will deliver the keynote address at the Intel
Capital CEO summit on May 24. The Intel Capital CEO summit
brings chief executives from Intel Capital's portfolio
companies worldwide together with executives from Intel
and Global 2000 corporations along with government and
education leaders for three days of learning and deal-making
focused on tapping into the opportunities offered today
in India.
Intel
has been operating for the last ten years in India, working
closely with the government, industry and educators to
enable transformation of businesses and communities through
the adoption of information and communication technology
(ICT). Intel announced a US $1 billion, multi year investment
roadmap which includes an investment of US $ 800 million
over the next five years and a US$250 million Intel Capital
India technology Fund to help stimulate technology innovation
and growth.
The
investments will focus on expanding the R&D center
in Bangalore in addition to marketing, education and community
programs.

Reddy appointed new director on SBH board
Hyderabad: State Bank of Hyderabad has announced
that I. Ram Reddy has been appointed as director on its
board.
Reddy
is currently working as head cashier at the bank's Karimnagar
branch. He is secretary of the All-India SBH Staff Association,
president of the SBH Staff Association's Andhra Pradesh
unit, deputy general secretary for AP Bank Employees Federation
and is a general council member of All-India Bank Employees
Association, the release said.
