R.S Sharma, finance
director, takes interim charge at ONGC
New Delhi: The government has asked R S Sharma, finance
director, ONGC, to handle the additional charge of chairman
and managing director of the organization as a interim
measure.
The post of the CMD fell vacant on May 24, after the expiry
of Subir Raha`s contractual term of five years. With no
new CMD yet in place to fill in Raha`s position, the government
has decided to ask Sharma to take additional charge of
the post as an adhoc measure.
It
has also been decided to initiate the selection process
for a new CMD, ONGC through the Public Enterprises Selection
Board (PESB), according to a press communique issued by
the petroleum ministry Thursday.
