B.K. Sinha takes over as SECL CMD
Kolkata: Birendra Kumar Sinha has taken over charge
as chairman-cum-managing director of South Eastern Coalfields
Ltd (SECL), with effect from June 1. He succeeds M.K.
Thapar who retired on Wednesday.
Sinha
began his career in the coal industry in 1972 with Bharat
Coaking Coal Ltd. Before joining SECL, he was director
(technical) operations in the Central Coalfields Ltd from
March 2005 to May 2006, a SECL press note said.
He
has also worked with the Western Coalfields Ltd in various
capacities.

Vysya appoints Kshitij Jain as CEO and MD
Bangalore: Private sector life insurer ING Vysya
Life Insurance Company Ltd has appointed Kshitij Jain
as the new chief executive officer and managing director.
The appointment makes Jain the first Indian MD & CEO
of ING Vysya Life.
According
an ING Vysya Life press release, the current CEO and MD,
Dr Frank Koster, is moving back to the parent company's
global headquarters in Amsterdam.
The
release said that Jain's appointment takes effect from
July 1 this year. Jain has been with ING Vysya Life since
its inception in 2001 and has been a senior member of
the management team primarily responsible for sales and
distribution.

Ltd has informed BSE that A Gopal Rao, one of the directors
of the company has retired, effective June 01, 2006.

to the company, Rao would however continue to be associated
