Richard Farrand is HSBC's new COO, global sourcing, South Asia
Hyderabad: HSBC Data Processing, part of the HSBC Banking group, which has about 10,000 employees across five delivery centres in the country and six in the region, is about to add 2,500 more.

The company, which started its software development centre in Hyderabad, plans to recruit about 1,500 software professionals by the year 2008. The chief operating officer for Global Sourcing, South Asia, HSBC, Malcolm Wagget, is set to retire on July 1, 2006, after serving here for the past four years. Richard Farrand is set to take over as the COO, South Asia, Global sourcing.
