RBI reconstitutes technical advisory committee
Mumbai: The Reserve Bank of India has reconstituted
the Technical Advisory Committee on money, foreign and
government securities markets. The committee will be chaired
by Dr Rakesh Mohan, deputy governor, RBI and its members
include G. Anantraman, executive director, SEBI, C.B.Bhave,
MD, National Securities Depository Ltd (NSDL), Ashok Jha,
secretary, department of economic affairs and other senior
bankers and academicians from the industry.
According
to the release, the committee will review and recommend
measures for deepening, widening and promoting liquidity
in the money, foreign exchange and government securities
markets. It will also advise on the evolving and desirable
linkages among these as well as the capital markets. The
measures will also relate to the participants, institutional
and infrastructural arrangements of these markets. The
committee will review the infrastructure, legal and institutional
arrangements for trading, transfer and settlement in the
markets in the context of emerging payments systems, including
CCIL.

Madhu
Nair appointed V-P at Katriya Hotels
Hyderabad: K.V. Madhu Nair has joined the Katriya
Hotels & Towers, a business class hotel, as senior
vice-president (operations). Nair is also the secretary
general of the Hotels & Restaurants Association of
Andhra Pradesh and was earlier with the Green Park group
of hotels.

appoints new global services head
Bangalore: Alekhya Talapatra has joined IBM Global
Services as head, government vertical. He will be driving
the services sales business for IBM. Talapatra's last
assignment was at HP India as country manager of defence
and security.

Balyan
is NIPM President
New Delhi: Dr A.K. Balyan, director (human resource)
of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC), has been
chosen to the President of the National Institute of Personnel
Management (NIPM) - one of the apex institutes for promoting
professional excellence in human resource studies. Dr
Balyan, will chair NIPM for the next two years. NIPM has
also elected Sushant Vats, chief employee relations of
ONGC, as the regional vice-president, Northern Region
and J.A. Kumar, DGM (P&A), ONGC as Member from Southern
Region.
NIPM
is an all-India professional body for HR professionals.
The institute is headquartered in Kolkata and has 52 chapters
spread throughout the country.
