Rupert
Murdoch's confirms succession plan
Rupert Murdoch has said that his four eldest children
and not his two daughters by his third wife Wendi Deng
would control the family trust that owns 30 per cent of
News Corporation after his death. Murdoch said in a US
television interview that his financial assets would be
divided equally among his six children after he dies,
but that his four eldest children would control the trust.
Murdoch
has four children from his two first marriages - Prudence,
Elisabeth, Lachlan and James while has two daughters from
his third wife--Grace, born in 2001, and Chloe, born in
2003.
The
question of who gets control of the family trust has led
to a rift between Ms Deng and Murdoch's four eldest children
over the past year.
