Sail chief gets additional charge
New Delhi: The director (commercial) of the Steel Authority of India (SAIL), S.K. Rungta, has been given the additional charge of chairmanship of the public sector steel maker with effect from Tuesday, Steel Ministry officials said. He would assume responsibility after the present Chairman, V.S. Jain retires.

New Delhi: Television Eighteen has appointed Sundeep Malhotra as the chief executive officer of its newly launched Home Shopping Network.

Malhotra was previously executive vice-president, sales, at Pepsi Foods.

A C Mahajan appointed CMD of Allahabad Bank
Kolkata: A C Mahajan has been appointed as the chairman and managing director (CMD) of Allahabad Bank. He was earlier the executive director, Bank of Baroda and headed credit, forex and integrated treasury departments.

Mahajan is replacing O N Singh who retired as the CMD.

Mahajan's overseas postings include assignments in various branches and offices mainly in Japan, Tanzania and Kenya among other countries.
