Sushil Roongta appointed new SAIL chairman
New Delhi: Sushil Kumar Roongta has been appointed as the chairman of Steel Authority of India.

Roongta has held the post as an additional charge since July 31, 2006, when V S Jain, his predecessor, superannuated.

Prior to this appointment, Roongta served the public sector steel major as the director, commercial.
