Narayana Murthy retires
Bangalore: N R Narayana Murthy has stepped down from Infosys Technologies a company he helped found with some of his closest friends. He is ranked as one of the greatest achievers that independent India has known.

Murthy has indicated he will spend more time at the corporate university that Infosys has set up in Mysore, attend to his public engagements that will continue and catch up on technical literature that has been moving forward ever more rapidly.

His recently worded sentences have indicated, he may well be heading towards a more public role and may soon emerge as a public figure. Nandan Nilekani managing director of Infosys Tech will take up the baton of chairmanship from Murthy.
