Usha Narayan is new SEBI executive director
Mumbai: Ms Usha Narayanan has been promoted as an executive director of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

A SEBI release said that Ms Narayanan would be in charge of the Corporation Finance Department and the Investment Management Department - Division of FIIs and Custodians.

Ms Narayan was earlier chief general manager.

Daniel Dias is new director of IBM's research lab
Bangalore: IBM has named Daniel M. Dias, as director of IBM India Research Lab (IRL).

Dias will be responsible for leading the research units in India, at Delhi and Bangalore, with a focus on innovating, developing and managing the lab's research agenda.

He succeeds Ponani Gopalakrishnan, who has completed his assignment in India. Dias will be based in New Delhi.

Dias previously led the Internet infrastructure and computing utilities team at IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center and brings over three decades of research experience into the job.
