chief, Dr. J.S.Yadav honoured
Hyderabad:
Dr J.S. Yadav, director, Indian Institute of Chemical
Technology (IICT), has been honoured with the Fellowship
of the Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS). The recognition
has come in the wake of Dr. Yadav's contributions to science
and human resources development.
So
far, Dr Yadav has published 520 scientific papers and
has also obtained 42 patents. His pioneering contribution
includes eco-friendly and environmentally safe pest control
strategies for cleaner and healthier agro produce using
insect pheromones in Integrated Pest Management.

Rajan Ghotgalkar
is new country head for Principal Intl
Mumbai: Principal International has appointed Rajan
Ghotgalkar as the country head and managing director of
Principal Pnb Asset Management Company.
"Working
with our teams in US, Hong Kong and India, Mr Ghotgalkar
will steer our India strategy, identify and analyse market
opportunities and ensure Principal's joint venture businesses
in India do well," said J. C. Tupling, chief operating
officer, Asia, Principal International.

Jet executives quit
New
Delhi: Two of private carrier Jet Airways top executives,
including the chief operating officer, have put in their
papers.
According
to aviation sources, Dale Moss, who joined the airline
as COO in May this year, resigned from his post on Thursday,
while Sarat Chandran, Jet's vice president, human resources,
has also quit, the sources said. No reasons are forthcoming
for the reported exits.
Moss,
was handling passenger sales, cargo, IT and communications,
and had joined Jet Airways after putting in decades of
service including a stint as executive vice president
with the British Airways in the US. Chandran had joined
the private carrier in October 2003 after having served
in the Oberoi Group.
Rajesh
Verma, who was Vice President (customer and in-flight
services), had quit earlier to join rival Kingfisher Airlines.
Four other marketing managers have also quit Jet in the
recent past.
