Ravan Boddu to resign from iSoft
Chennai:
Ravan Boddu, CEO, iSoft India, part of the UK-based iSoft plc, is resigning from the company for 'personal reasons.' He will continue with the company for the next few months and help identify a successor. Boddu is credited with the setting up of Chennai operations of iSoft, which supplies advanced medical software applications for the healthcare sector.

An iSoft spokesperson said the company respects his decision while recognising the enormous contribution he has made towards iSoft's industry-leading development capabilities.

Tamal Saha appointed Whirlpool's head of sales
New Delhi:
Whirlpool has promoted Tamal Kanti Saha to the position of vice president (sales), while Sanjay Prasad, who was heading the sales wing, has been moved to Whirlpool's Oceania division.

Whirlpool, which had registered a huge loss two years back, is making a strong comeback with a clear bottom-line improvement along with a sharp sales growth and increase in market shares in India.

Saha an alumni of IIT Mumbai and IIM Ahmedabad, began his career with Dunlop India.

He joined Whirlpool in '04 as director (sales) for the southern region of India.

Saha is credited with successfully turning around the business in south India. Under his team, the business grew by more than 50 pc in the last eight quarters in the four southern states.

Whirlpool Oceania includes the markets of Australia and New Zealand, where Prasad has been appointed as new business development manager.
