SBI
reshuffles top brass
Mumbai: State Bank of India (SBI) has named new
chiefs for four of its subsidiaries SBI Caps, SBI
Mutual Fund, SBI Life and SBI Factors
and revamped its top level team in the treasury department.
SBI
has appointed R Shridharan as managing director of SBI
Capital Markets, who will replace Indrajeet Gupta who
retired in August. Shridharan was earlier CMG-Bangalore
circle.
US
Roy has been named as the new MD and CEO of SBI Life after
S Krishnamurthy retires in January '07.
The
bank has handed MM Latif charge of treasury operations
and Arun Shandelya has been appointed as CFO, primarily
in charge balance sheet management.
Anjan
Barua earlier the GM of Guwahati circle has been given
charge of treasury operations, while N Raja, who has been
in charge of treasury till last week, will be heading
the Mumbai circle as CGM.
Diwakar
Gupta-CGM, Mumbai circle, has been transferred to State
Bank of Patiala as CGM while AC Varma, CGM human resources,
is tipped to take over as managing director of State Bank
of Patiala. This follows the vacancy created by Yogesh
Agarwal, who recently moved to head office as managing
director-SBI.

Google
India appoints Prasad Ram as CTO
Bangalore: Google has announced the appointment
of Prasad Bhaarat Ram as the new chief technology officer
(CTO) of its India R&D unit. Before this, Ram was
CTO at Yahoo India's R&D unit in Bangalore.
According
to a statement issued by Google, Ram will head engineering
and site operations at the company's R&D centre in
Bangalore.
