Gerald
Frank appointed COO & exec director of Tata Power
Mumbai: Tata Power Company has appointed Gerald
Frank Grove-White as its executive director and chief
operating officer(COO) with effect from October 30. Prior
to this assignment Grove-White was the managing director
of Australia-based energy major Eraring Energy.
He
has nearly 18 years of proven expertise in the global
power sector and has previously worked with Powergen as
general manager and managing director overseeing operations
and development in India.
Earlier,
the company had announced the appointment of Prasad R
Menon as managing director with effect from October 16.

Reckitt
Benckiser appoints new regional marketing director
New Delhi: Reckitt Benckiser India has appointed
Stefan Gaa as the regional marketing director, South Asia.
Gaa is replacing Anne Engerant and will be responsible
for the marketing functions in South Asia, which includes
India, Sri-Lanka, Bangladesh and Indonesia.
India
is the headquarters for Reckitt Benckiser's South Asia
business and Gaa will be based in the corporate head office
at Gurgaon.
Gaa
joined Reckitt Benckiser Germany in October 2000 in the
marketing team, where he initially worked on Airwick (a
leading air care brand internationally). He then moved
on to working on products such as the automatic dish washing
(ADWD) brand, Calgonit (Finish in India), then to the
UK as global brand manager responsible for ADWD for North
America and developing markets.
In
April 2005, he moved as global brand manager, innovation,
before moving to join the Indian team in September 2006.

CEO for Dish TV
New Delhi: Arun Kumar Kapoor has been appointed
as the new CEO of Dish TV, the Direct to Home (DTH) entertainment
service of Zee TV, which claims a distribution network
of about 12,000 dealers and caters to 1.5 million subscribers
and is headquartered in Noida.
Kapoor
was earlier the CEO for the Punjab Circle for Hutchison
Essar South and has in the past worked with UB Group,
Gillette, Pepsi, Spice Cell, Airtel and IBM Daksh.

Duke
of York on India visit
New Delhi: Prince Andrew, (46) the Duke of York,
son of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, is expected
to come to India on a week-long visit on Sunday.
Andrew
will visit New Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai to promote bilateral
trade and investment and to showcase Britain as the preferred
destination for Indian investors.
He
will present the first-ever UK Trade and Investment Business
awards in Mumbai Nov 1. These awards recognise the business
partnership between India and Britain.
The
prince will meet Minister of State for Commerce and Industry
Ashwani Kumar and interact with top business leaders at
events organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry
(CII) and the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce
and Industry (FICCI).
According
to a recent report by the Federation of Indian Chambers
of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) ahead of the India-UK
investment summit in London early this month, India has
become one of the largest investors in Britain.

Sanjeev
Aga appointed MD, Idea Cellular
Mumbai: Sanjeev Aga will take over as the managing
director of Idea Cellular while Bharat Singh will replace
him as the managing director of Aditya Birla Nuvo with
effect from November 1.
Singh
is at present director, corporate strategy and business
development at the Aditya Birla Group.
A
group statement added that Mr Singh will "continue
to look after the corporate strategy function for the
time being." Both will report to Kumar Mangalam Birla,
chairman of Aditya Birla Group. Aditya
Aga (54) an alumni of IIM-Kolkata joined the Aditya Birla
group in 1998 as the CEO of the telecom joint venture
Birla AT&T and went on to become Idea Cellular's CEO.
He
has earlier held senior positions in Asian Paints, Jenson
& Nicholson, Mattel Toys and Blow Plast in a career
spanning over three decades.
Vikram
Mehmi was earlier the CEO of Idea Cellular.
