Rajat Gupta appointed on Goldman Sachs board
New Delhi: Rajat Gupta has been appointed as an independent director on the board of directors of Goldman Sachs Group.

In a statement, the corporation said that Gupta will serve on the audit, compensation, corporate governance and nominating committees of the board. With this the Goldman Sachs board has 13 directors, 10 of whom are independent directors.

Aztecsoft chief conferred doctorate
Bangalore: K. B. Chandrasekhar, chairman, Aztecsoft, has received an honorary Doctorate of Science from Anna University in recognition of his achievements in the field of information technology and his outstanding contribution to promoting research and development in India.

Chandrasekhar has co-founded three companies: e4e Inc, a global technology holding company, Jamcracker Inc, an on-demand software company and Exodus Communications Inc.

Apart from Aztecsoft Ltd, he is also the chairman of these three companies.
