Ratan
Tata wins award for 'Responsible Capitalism'
Mumbai: Tata group chairman Ratan Tata has received
an award for 'Responsible Capitalism' for demonstrating
social responsibility as an integral part of his commercial
success and is the eighth head of an international corporation
to receive the award.
Princess
Royal of Britain presented the award to Tata in London
yesterday at a special ceremony attended by over 250 business
leaders, parliamentarians, and ambassadors.
The
award for responsible capitalism was instituted by multidisciplinary
international affairs organisation first in 2000 to honour
business leaders who have excelled by achieving commercial
success and demonstrating social responsibility.

gets new chief GM
Hyderabad: Ram Kumar Sharma has taken charge as chief
general manager of the State Bank of India, Hyderabad
Circle, from December 1.
Sharma
was earlier general manager (network-II) of the Bank's
Delhi Circle and joined the Bank as a Probationary Officer
in 1972 and worked in various branches across the country.
