R A Somani appointed ED, projects, Dalmia Cement
Hyderabad: R A Somani has been appointed as the ED, projects, Dalmia Cement (Bharat). Based in Hyderabad, he will head the Kadapa Cement Project in Andhra Pradesh and the setting up of the greenfield project.

Dalmia Cement is setting up a greenfield cement plant of up to 4 million tonnes per annum capacity in the State. For this, the company has taken over Eswar Cements, with a view to expand its South Indian footprint. Somani will be in charge of the operations for the project.

Before joining Dalmia Cement, Somani was associated with the Aditya Birla Group for nearly two decades and was involved in commissioning of various greenfield projects last of which was the Awarpur Cement Works.
