Lee appointed head of Samsung SW Asia region
Kolkata: Samsung Electronics has appointed H B Lee as regional president & CEO for Samsung (South west Asia region), w.e.f. February 2007.

Before this Lee was president & CEO of Samsung's digital appliance network business based in South Korea.

Lee will operate from Delhi and oversee operations of all Samsung subsidiaries in India -- Samsung India Electronics, Samsung Telecommunications India and Samsung India Software Operations. He will also look after Samsung India's R&D centre in Bangalore.

A Samsung veteran, Lee has been working with the Korean electronics behemoth for 31 years. He has earlier worked as managing director of Samsung subsidiaries in Germany and Spain, handling Samsung domestic sales in South Korea, and in 2005 was appointed president of Samsung Electronics' digital appliance business.
