Sunil
Mittal, Indra Nooyi awarded Padma Bhushan
New Delhi: A number of industrialists, artists and
social workers were awarded the Padma Bhushan, Padmi Shri
and Padma Vibhushan on January 26 on the occasion of India's
Republic Day ceremony.
Among
the 32 eminent persons awarded Padma Bhushan are Bharti
Group's Sunil Bharti Mittal, the Pepsi Chief, Indra Nooyi,
and the chairman of Suzuki Motors Corporation, O. Suzuki.
The
former Indian Ambassador to the US, Naresh Chandra, and
the chairman of National Manufacturing Competitive Council,
V. Krishnamurthy were awarded the Padma Vibhushan.

Taj
GVK makes new appointments
Hyderabad: Jaikant Shroff has been appointed the
general manager of Taj Banjara, a business hotel from
the stable of Taj GVK Hotels & Resorts. He succeeds
Sanjay Sood, who has moved to the position of general
manager of Taj in Chennai.
