New
CEO for Suzlon Energy
Mumbai: Suzlon Energy (SEL) has appointed Andre
Horbach as the chief executive officer and plans to recruit
new chief technology officer, chief finance officer and
chief manufacturing officer for its European operations.
Horbach,
earlier the CEO and president of GE Consumer & Industrial,
will operate from the recently-established global group
management office in Amsterdam. The recruitment of the
other heads will be completed by March 2007.
The
company is expected to appoint an India president in this
quarter. The chairman and managing director of Suzlon
Energy the president of the company will be an Indian,
who has experience and knowledge on the domestic industry.

Go
Air to put core team in place by mid-February
Bangalore: The Wadia Group is putting together
a new core team to consolidate the operations of its airline
venture, Go Air.
According
to Jeh Wadia Go Air managing director, the core team will
consist of Mark Winders as executive director. The team
will also have a chief financial officer, chief commercial
officer and a chief operating officer. Winders was earlier
the chief executive officer of SpiceJet.
Wadia
said the core team's role will be to keep the costs down,
aim at profitability and increase the load factor.
