Bali joins as CEO Escorts Construction
New Delhi: Escorts Ltd has appointed Kamal Bali as the CEO of its group company Escorts Construction Equipment Ltd.

Bali was earlier the managing director and CEO of the India operations of Italian tractor manufacturer Same Deutz-Fahr, Escorts said in a release here. He has been associated with the Escorts group earlier as well and was looking after the all India sales for the agri machinery group.

The company has also appointed Inderjit Singh as head of Knowledge Management Centre (KMC) for its agri machinery group. Singh was earlier the vice president (R&D), Mahindra and Mahindra (FES), it added.

ONGC appointment cancelled
New Delhi: The Cabinet Committee on Appointments has rejected the entire panel of names proposed for the post of chairman and managing director of ONGC. The name of R S Sharma, who was officiating as the CMD of ONGC since May 2006 has been selected for the position by the Public Enterprise Selection Board in August last year.

A.K. Hazarika, director (Onshore) in ONGC, said to be the number two choice for the CMD post has not been considered.
