Mehta appointed new chairman of ICAI branch
Bangalore: T.C. Mehta has been elected as the chairman of the Bangalore Branch of the Southern India Regional Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Mehta assured the members that the Bangalore Branch would be equipped with modern technology to improve the efficiency and services. During the year, efforts would be made to enhance facilitations to the students to cope with the larger inflow of students to the Branch for coaching and training.

Nayak's tenure extended at UTI bank
Mumbai: Dr P.J. Nayak has received an extension at UTI Bank and will continue as chairman and managing director of UTI Bank for two more years, effective from August 1, 2007 to July 31, 2009. The appointment is subject to approval by the Administrator of the Specified Undertaking of Unit Trust of India, and the Reserve Bank of India and subject to confirmation by the shareholders of the bank at the next general meeting," said a BSE announcement.
