Sardana appointed executive director at Tata Power
New Delhi: Tata Power has placed Anil K Sardana on its board of directors and named him executive director.

Before this, Sardana was the managing director of North Delhi Power (NDPL), an associate company of the company for power distribution in the capital, the company said in a statement.
An Electric Engineer with 27 years of professional experience in power sector, he has also worked with NTPC and BSES.

Catholic Syrian Bank chairman resigns
Kochi: The chairman of Catholic Syrian Bank, N.R. Achan, has put in his papers. The Board of Directors has accepted his resignation. Achan's tenure as chairman was due to end in June and he cited poor health as the reason for the resignation.

He said that the bank would be able to generate higher profits this year and report substantially lower NPAs.
