Corp Bank declares 40 pc interim
Mangalore: Corporation Bank has informed the BSE that the board of directors, which met on March 24, has declared an interim dividend of 40 per cent for 2006-07. It said April 10 has been fixed as the record date for the purpose of payment of interim dividend.

Union Bank opens CPC to strengthen retail ops
Hyderabad: Union Bank of India (UBI) has launched its first centralised processing centre in South India at Saifabad in Hyderabad. Bank officials said Union Bank has identified Hyderabad, Bangalore, Ernakulam and Chennai for setting up of such centres that are expected to facilitate quick disbursal of loans for retail products.

The Hyderabad centre is expected to receive, on an average, 200 loan application forms on any working day. This single-window clearance would help sanction loan fast in 48 hours particularly to reduce housing loan sanction turnaround time. On the very first day of inauguration the centre had sanctioned and disbursed loans worth Rs 7.49 crore for various retails products, which include home loan, personal loan, two and four-wheelers.
