Senior Ranbaxy
officials resign New Delhi: Two senior Ranbaxy executives namely
Ram S Ramasunder, who is the chief financial officer (CFO) and Rahul Goswami the
vice-president, strategic planning and chief information officer (CIO), have resigned
from the company. The
two officials are expected to leave at the end of April and May respectively but
this could not be confirmed. A
few months ago Uday Upendra, global head of HR, also left the company and before
this Alok Ghosh, VP, global quality assurance, had left Ranbaxy to join drugs
major Lupin. To
augment its top management team Ranbaxy had last year appointed Atul Sobti as
chief operating officer (COO) and Peter Burema as president global pharmaceutical
business. Last
month, the company appointed Dr Himadri Sen from Lupin. He had left Ranbaxy about
six years ago to go to Lupin and has now returned to head Research and Development
(Generics and New Drug Delivery System) in Ranbaxy. Back
