lists on NYSE
New York: Housing and finance company HDFC has listed
on the New York stock Exchange and the chairman of the
company Deepak S Parekh rang the bell at the NYSE yesterday
to mark the beginning of trading at the bourse.

on the New York stock Exchange and the chairman of the
company Deepak S Parekh rang the bell at the NYSE yesterday
to mark the beginning of trading at the bourse.
Other
Indian corporate leaders who have earlier rung the NYSE
bell include Satyam's chairman B Ramalinga Raju and Wipro
chief Azim Premji.
The
HDFC chief would also be honoured today by the American
Indian Foundation (AIF), a non-profit group working toward
accelerating social and economic change in India.
HDFC
listed on NYSE on July 20, 2001 after an initial public
offer of its American Depositary Shares in the US.
