Naresh Trehan quits Escorts Heart
New Delhi:
Dr Naresh Trehan, has relinquished the post of executive director of the Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre (EHIRCL) to concentrate on his Medicity business venture. However, he will continue to be a 10 per cent stakeholder in EHIRCL. Shivinder Mohan Singh, managing director, Escorts Heart Institute & Research Centre and Fortis Healthcare Ltd, said Dr Trehan has been associated with Escorts Heart Institute for over 20 years from the inception of the idea to its execution.

Vodafone board gets new member
Mumbai:
Vodafone Group Plc has appointed Simon Murray as a non-executive director with effect from July 1 in place of Lord Broers, a non-executive director since January 1998.

Murray has held positions mainly in Asia with Jardine Matheson, Deutsche Bank and Hutchison Whampoa. As group managing director, he oversaw the development and launch of mobile telecommunications networks in many parts of the world.
