Frankfurt: Ruag Technology Group plans to assemble Dornier Do228 planes at its production plant near Munich, Financial Times Deutschland has quoted Wolfgang Neumann, managing director of Ruag Aerospace Services as saying.
Neumann said production would start at the end of 2009.
Dornier Fairchild built the 19-seater plane, used mostly for regional flights, at the German plant until 1998 when it stopped production.
Ruag, the state-owned Swiss aerospace and defence company now plans to import wings and fuselage from India and assemble the plane in Germany.
