EADS picks Cades as preferred supplier for engineering services in India

Chennai/ Bangalore: Indian product design and engineering services firm, Cades, has been selected as a preferred supplier for engineering services by EADS, a global player in aerospace, defence products and related services. A company statement said that Cades has been rated by EADS as one of the valued companies from India in terms of engineering competency, domain strength, project management and delivery capability.
The preferred supplier status conferred on Cades is in line with EADS's global sourcing strategy and the smart buying objective of Airbus's Power8 programme.
Dataram Mishra, MD & CEO, Cades said, "After nearly two years of rigorous evaluation for technical capabilities, project management, quality, IT, security and commercial considerations, EADS has selected Cades as an preferred supplier for engineering services.
Cades will now be able to directly execute projects for all EADS Group companies, including Airbus, Eurocopter, Astrium, Defence & Security as well as ATR, Socata and Sogerma.
The services to be provided by Cades as part of the relationship will be eligible for offset credit in India, added Mishra.
EADS spends about Euro 2 billion per year on engineering services. It says that India is a strategic country in its global industrial footprint.
CADES provides projects, consulting and R&D services to aerospace, defense and automotive industry. It is headquartered in Bangalore and has offices across India, North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
