No Boeing deliveries for Indian aviation market till end-2010

Mumbai: Boeing Co has said it will not be making any major deliveries to the Indian aviation market in all of 2010, and into early 2011. It however remained about the Indian aviation market and has expressed confidence that things would now begin to look up.
According to Boeing India president, Dinesh Keskar, the company will not be delivering planes to any airline company, state-owned or private in this time frame, except for three 777s to Air India in late 2010. He said this is part of an order for six, of which AI has deferred three. He also clarified that Boeing has no information about any cancellations.
Keskar also said that Air India will receive first deliveries of the 787 Dreamliner towards the second quarter of 2011.
As for private carriers, Jet Airways would get planes only in 2011 by which time he expects the markets to have revived.
According to Boeing Air India has an order for 68 aircraft, valued at of $11 billion.
Jet Airways has an order for ten 787 Dreamliners, valued at over $1.5 billion at list prices. The airline also has 20 737-800 on order, valued at nearly $1.5 billion at current list pricesIt also has exercised options for three 777-300 ER (Extended Range) airplanes, which is valued at more than $790 million at list prices
