AI announces 'One Price India' fare on New York-India trips

New York: Air India has launched a special Economy Class "One Price India" scheme which offers a fare of $599 round trip from New York's JFK International Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport to Mumbai, Delhi, and 40 other cities in India served by the carrier and its associated airlines, currently undergoing a merger process.
The scheme, which is applicable until 15 May, applies to any of Air India's direct and non-stop flights from JFK to India, departing Sunday through Thursday, and returning Monday through Friday. A weekend surcharge of $25 each way applies to flights on Friday and Saturday to India, and Saturday and Sunday from India.
The minimum stay is the first Sunday after departure, and the maximum stay is four months.
According to a statement issued by the carrier, travel must be on Air India operated flights from New York city to India while flights within India must be on Air India or Indian Airlines designated flights. Tickets are non-refundable and all flights must be confirmed prior to issuance of tickets.
Departure taxes, airport security and other fees, and fuel surcharges, which range from approximately $371 to $471, are not included in the special fare offered. Also seats are limited at these special fares and may not be available on all flights.
