Jet Airways said it has inducted its hundredth aircraft, a next generation Boeing 737-800 on 15 November. The aircraft configured with eight premiere and 162 economy seats will commence commercial operations from 5 December 2011.
The new Boeing 737-800 aircraft also possesses superior onboard sound quality and clarity through new speakers that have been improved in each passenger row, the statement said.
"The delivery of our hundredth aircraft is a major milestone for everyone at Jet Airways. We are also happy to have worked closely with GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) as a partner since 1995 and look forward for more fruitful affiliation in the years to come as Jet Airways plans to expand its domestic and international network," Jet Airways' CEO Nikos Kardassis said in a statement issued.
