The Bangalore International Airport has completed 100 days of commercial operations, and is said to be fast gaining acceptance as the city's own airport amongst the aviation community.

In its first 100 days, the Bangalore airport has serviced 2.42 million passengers, 29,446 aircraft movements, and handled 44,357 metric tonnes of cargo.

The airport has also witnessed a 30 per cent jump in international airlines and air freight carriers coming into the city.

Industry sources say that through the growth has been declining on account of the overall situation in the aviation sector, it is still an encouraging sign for Bengaluru International airport.
