Kathmandu: Jet Airways has added five more flights on its Kathmandu-New Delhi route, taking the total number of weekly flights on the route to 19. The hike in the number of services offered comes in response to the increased traffic being experienced on the route.

According to airline sources, of the 19 flights, 12 are being operated by Jet Airways, while seven are being offered by JetLite, its wholly owned subsidiary.

Jet Airways has recently begun connecting flights to Kathmandu from New York, Brussels, Toronto and London via New Delhi. Earlier, these were not possible because of the lack of connectivity.

According to airline sources, a two-way ticket between Kathmandu-London, excluding taxes, costs $955; Kathmandu-New York costs $1,215, Kathmandu-Brussels $955 and Kathmandu-Toronto $1,240.
