FlyYeti, Nepal's first LCC connects Kathmandu and Doha

11 Apr 2008

FlyYeti, Nepal's first low-cost carrier (LCC), announced the launch of non-stop service between Kathmandu and Doha, Qatar's capital. The service will operate at a frequency of five times a week.

The LCC recently commenced services to Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Kuala Lumpur.

The flights will depart Kathmandu on Mondays Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays at 07:45am and arrive in Doha at 09:50am. Return flights will depart Doha for Kathmandu at 10:35am.

Following the introduction of service to Abu Dhabi last month, Doha is the airline's third destination in the GCC.

FlyYeti was launched on 20 January 2008 as a joint venture between Air Arabia and Yeti Airlines, a leading domestic carrier in Nepal. It is Nepal's first LCC.

Kathmandu becomes Air Arabia's second hub, established with the aim of providing affordable and convenient service to a broad range of international destinations across south and central Asia, the Far East, the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent.

The carrier said it expects to announce the launch of services to a range of new destinations in these markets in the near future.
