SpiceJet makes limited offer of 30% discount on domestic routes

31 Jan 2014

Low-cost carrier SpiceJet on Friday announced a 30-per cent discount to domestic travellers who book tickets at least 30 days in advance.

The discounted fares are applicable for domestic flight tickets booked between 31 January and 2 February and can be availed of till 15 April.

Fliers can book tickets under the discounted offer for flights between Monday and Thursday, the airline said on its website.

Jet Airways had earlier this month announced a ''super sale'' programme offering discounts of up to 50 per cent and, the airline said, the offer is being extended following the "overwhelming" success of the previous programme.

That offer, announced by the budget airline for a limited period, had triggered a fare war on the domestic routes.

The airline, however, did not provide data on the increase in bookings following the offer.

"Under this (new) offer, all customers can get a 30 per cent discount on the already discounted 30-day advance purchase base fare and fuel surcharge for SpiceJet domestic flights for travel till April 15," the release said.

The seats under this offer are, however, limited and availability depends on specific date and flight, it added.
