Ashok Nayak takes over as managing director of HAL's Bangalore Complex

Bangalore: Ashok Nayak has been appointed as the new managing director, Bangalore Complex, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Bangalore.

Nayak has been elevated to this position following the superannuation of AK Saxena on June 30, 2007. Nayak assumed charge on July 1, 2007.

Prior to this assignment Nayak was general manager of HAL's Aircraft Division, where he led the production teams of Jaguar, Lakshya and Hawk, apart from spearheading HAL's export activities.

"I will strive hard to achieve higher customer satisfaction with focus on prompt delivery and serviceability," Nayak said soon after assuming the office.

A product of Bangalore University, Nayak joined HAL in 1973 as a management trainee and has to his credit over 33 years of experience in manufacture, quality assurance, production planning\control, customer service and engineering services.

He was assigned the responsibility of Aerospace Division, which manufactures the structural assemblies and tankages of the PSLV/GSLV. Nayak also brings an in-depth knowledge in MRO of aircraft, aero-engines and accessories to his current assignment.
