Kingfisher launches two daily flights on Delhi-Chennai route

Chennai: Kingfisher Airlines launched two daily services between Chennai and Delhi on Monday. The first of these two flights will leave Chennai at 6.15 am and reach New Delhi at 8.45 am. This will also be the earliest flight out of Chennai for the country's capital.

On the return leg the flight will depart Delhi at 9.30 am and arrive Chennai at 12.05 pm. In the evening the same aircraft leaves for Delhi at 17.55 hrs and will start its return leg at 20.55 hrs to reach Chennai at 23.25 hrs.

According to Kingfisher officials, the airline has pressed a brand new Airbus A320 on the route. The aircraft will have 114 economy class seats and 20 first class seats.

Kingfisher currently operates 14 daily flights out of Chennai. The airline operates five flights to Bangalore, two each to Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Kochi and one to Vishakapatnam.

Meanwhile, the airline is retrofitting all its 28 aircraft with equipment that will enable  passengers to view live television during flights. Some of its aircraft already boast of the facility. According to airline officials, the next step would be to provide Internet connectivity onboard.
