Kingfisher's new Kolkota flight connects Indore and Raipur

Kolkota/ Raipur: Kingfisher Airlines has launched a new flight connecting Indore, the commercial capital of Madhya Pradesh, with Kolkata. The flight will proceed via Raipur, the capital city of Chattisgarh, and is the first flight that connects this new capital city with any city of its parent State, Madhya Pradesh.

The Indore-Raipur-Kolkota flight will take off from Indore at 4 pm and land at Raipur at 5.30pm. It will take off from Raipur at 6.20 pm and touch down at Kolkota at 8.20 pm. On the reverse route the flight takes off from Kolkota at 11.10 am, reaching Raipur at 1.10pm. From Raipur, it takes off at 1.40 pm to land at Indore at 2.30pm.

The ATR-75 category aircraft has a capacity of 60 passengers.

According to industry sources, the flight has attracted immediate attention as local traders associated with the steel, garments and pharmaceutical industries have been looking forward to such a service for a long period of time.

Kingfisher is the second airline to step into the Raipur-Kolkata sector, recently  replacing its Raipur-Ranchi-Kolkata flight with a new one that connects Delhi and Kolkata via Raipur.
