Proxy Aviation to display its SkyRaider UAV at Webster Field

Proxy Aviation Systems, a company that develops fully autonomous, optionally piloted unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), announced today that it will display its newest unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), SkyRaider, at the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International's (AUVSI) Unmanned Systems North America 2007 trade show, to be held from 6 to 9 August 2007 at the Washington Convention Centre in Washington DC. SkyRaider is a powerful, low and medium altitude, multi-payload UAV capable of carrying a variety of external stores.

On Monday 6 August, the 4th biennial unmanned systems demonstration will be held at the Webster Field Annex of the Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, Maryland, where 30 unmanned air and ground systems will participate in what is considered to be the largest unmanned systems demonstration in history. Proxy Aviation's SkyRaider will be onsite in a static presentation for public viewing.

SkyWatcher is designed for medium-endurance, low- and medium-altitude ISR missions, while SkyRaider is engineered for heavy-payload missions requiring the carriage and release of external weaponry. SkyForce DMS controls both SkyWatcher and SkyRaider and has the built-in intelligence to formulate independent decisions during flight without any human intervention. This feature makes it unique from any UAV system on the market today.
