New Delhi: JWT Bangalore has won the mandate for ING Vysya Bank's creative work, having jumped into the ING Vysya Bank pitch in the last two weeks, and upsetting five other leading agencies who were in the fray for the account.

ING Vysya Bank's business is estimated at Rs20 crore ($5 million). The bank has a strong presence in South India, and is looking to expand into the northern and western regions. With JWT on board, ING is aiming at a quick ram ramp up of its brand presence and visibility throughout the country.

Initially, the bank's campaigns will most likely focus on above the line (ATL) activities including TV, print, outdoor and online.

Sonali Panda, head of marketing and product, retail, ING Vysya Bank, said "Not only were we impressed with JWT's teamwork, but they produced engaging creative work. We look forward to working with JWT to help develop our brand throughout India."

Key team members from JWT included creative head Prahlad Nanjappa, strategic planning AVP Navonil Chatterjee, creative AVP Tina Sachdev , account management AVP Dennis Koshy, creative supervisor Karan Doshi, and creative supervisor Krishna Prasad. Additionally, the activation team from Encompass participated in the strategy.

Rajesh Gangwani, senior vice president at JWT, said, "Joining the pitch so late, the team had to be incredibly focused. We were able to form a cohesive strategy around a big idea. I would like to thank everyone on the team for their determination and hard work."
