Interim FM presents interim Budget '19

As financre minister Arun Jaitley is currently abroad for treatment, railway and coal minister Piyush Goyal, who is also the acting finance minister currently, presented the NDA government’s interim Budget for 2019 before the General elections due in the next three months.
In his Budget presenetation, which was in the nature of a pre-election outline of the five-year achievements of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government, Goyal credited the ruling alliance with "breaking the back of back-breaking inflation".
- Individual taxpayers with income upto Rs 5 lakh: full tax rebate
