Conveying the good wishes on behalf of the people of India and on his own behalf, the prime minister expressed confidence that under his able leadership, the strategic partnership between India and UK will strengthen further.
The two prime ministers resolved to continue working closely on issues such as trade, security and defence and climate change.
Johnson, who won a big majority for his Conservative Party in last week’s election, thanked Prime Minister Modi for his good wishes.
