According to BSNL, the capital sum insured per connection is Rs50,000. For example, if a customer has four connections, two landlines, one WLL and one postpaid mobile , then the total insurance coverage to that customer will be Rs2 lakh.

MTNL Mumbai has also entered into an agreement with TATA AIG to offer one year life insurance scheme to its customers on an experimental basis.
