Bang & Olufsen launches its first exclusive outlet in Mumbai

Mumbai, 2005: Bang & Olufsen, (2003-04 financial year turnover, Euro 486 million) the Denmark-based global leader in high quality, high end home entertainment systems launched its first retail outlet in India at the shopping plaza of the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai.
Jacob Odgaard, director overseas operations, Bang & Olufsen, presented a special BeoSound 9000 and BeoLab 8000 as a memento to Dr Vijay Mallya, UB chairman, and a music aficionado to mark its launch.

market 'next generation' products,
Speaking at the inauguration of the outlet, Odgaard said, "Among all the emerging markets in the world, the Indian market is the most promising and has immense potential for high-end, aspirational products like those offered by B & O. Our stylish and classic products offer a wide range of features that will secure our place as the only true multi-functional entertainment device on the market today suited to needs of the Indian Consumer."
