Chinese electronics group Leshi Internet Information & Technology, also known as LeTV is all set to enter the Indian market early next year. The company said it will look to ''replicate its content-device ecosystem'' in India.

For local entertainment content such as movies and TV shows, Letv will be looking to partner with local content providers and creators in India.

''LeTV will not only bring its exciting devices to the country, but also its impressive content based Eco User interface that will provide consumers with access to Letv's unique and world class content-device based ecosystem that has found great success in the Chinese markets,'' said the company in a statement.

Further, the Chinese company added it has plans to set up a manufacturing plant as well as R&D centres in the country ''as a part of its long term vision.'' (See: China's Letv looks to 'Make in India')

LeTV earlier this week had launched its fourth smartphone, the Le 1s, in its home turf. Priced at CNY 1,099 (approximately Rs11,250), the smartphone will be going on sale next week in China.

The company also showcased its 120-inch uMax Super TV, priced at CNY 499,900 (approximately Rs51,00,000).

Some of the highlights of the Le 1s are the fingerprint scanner at the back, just below the primary camera and the all-new octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor clocked at 2.2GHz. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop based EUI 5.5 UI. Another notable feature of the Le 1s is it supports a reversible USB Type-C with fast-charging SpeedVolt technology that can offer 3.5 hours of playback on a charge of just 5 minutes.

Other specifications of the LeTV Le 1S include 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) ISP display; 3GB of RAM; 32GB of inbuilt storage, and supports dual-SIM (Micro + Nano-SIM).

For camera, the handset sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and phase-detection autofocus (PDAF). There is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera as well on board. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, Micro-USB, 3G, and 4G LTE.

The company as of now has not revealed plans to launch any particular smartphone. So far Letv has unveiled four smartphones including the Le 1, Le 1 Pro, Le Max, and the recently announced Le 1S

Considering all the handsets in Letv lineup feature impressive specifications, it will be interesting to see if the company prices its products aggressively when entering the Indian market.
