Dish TV appoints Quasar exclusive sales partner

Dish TV, India's pioneering DTH venture which is also the largest in the country, has appointed Quasar as it exclusive sales partner for platform sales.
 
Quasar, a WPP digital company, is a full service digital agency based in Delhi, with offices in Gurgaon, Mumbai and Bangalore.

As a key business partner, Quasar would focus on monetisation of the platform through advertising inventories, alliances, partnerships, sponsorships and innovative solutions to enable marketers to reach out to their target audiences.

According to Salil Kapoor, COO, Dish TV, the DTH category was already 25 million plus households and was growing rapidly towards 33 million households by the end of the year. He added that the rapid expansion of DTH could not be ignored by any informed marketer or media buyer.

He said Dish TV with its 8 million subscriber base gives advertisers direct access to around a third of the DTH households.

He said advertisers across segments were warming up the new media innovation and were chalking out advertising plans suited to their businesses. He added that the Dish TV was looking at this as a big opportunity and was sure its partnership with Quasar would help it reach out to the marketing fraternity.

Manish Vij, co-founder- Quasar said Dish TV was a market leader in the DTH space with more than 8 million subscribers that are virtually captive audience for advertisers and that would work in its favour while designing attractive solutions for the new age advertisers.
