Home appliances maker Eureka Forbes has launched mobile water purifier 'Aquaguard-on-the -Go', priced at Rs595.

Eureka Forbes, part of the Shapoorji Pallonji Group, said the bottle would be extremely useful for travellers, students, and fitness enthusiasts, among others.

The sipper-shaped water purifier is loaded with miniaturised water purification technology and would be available across retail outlets and general stores, Eureka Forbes said in a statement.

The water purifier is powered by space `nano technology' that has 1,000 million plus optimally charged active sites that attract and eliminate 99.9% of harmful bacteria and virus. Water filled in the sipper travels through a channel of nano-sized positive charged entity that captures negatively charged pathogens/impurities and decontaminate the water.

The mobile water purifier would be available in four variants – black mystery, pink beauty, pearl white and racy blue.

Marzin R Shroff, Eureka Forbes CEO – direct sales and senior VP, marketing, said the company took almost seven years to develop the miniaturised water purification technology.

Aquaguard-on-the-Go is perhaps the only water purifier in India which combines affordability, adaptability and the convenience of mobility.

He said the development of the nano technology is an important milestone in the history of Aquaguard and will take the brand's market leadership in India to even higher levels.
