Funskool to donate toys to the underprivileged children

Chennai: In order to enable underprivileged children of society to enjoy the pleasure of playing with a toy, the Chennai-based toy company Funskool India Pvt Ltd has decided to donate toys.

Joining hands with a non profit public charitable trust Concern India Foundation, the company would donate toys to around 5000 poor children during this Christmas and New Year festive season.

According to R Jeswant, general manager, sales and marketing, the company has decided to donate 2000 new toys to children who can''t afford them. In addition, the company would go around the city schools to collect old toys from the students to donate to poor children.

"We hope to collect around 3000 old toys," he says.

Funskool says it will give a complimentary toy worth Rs55 and 20 discount vouchers to children who donate their old toys. The discount voucher can be redeemed on purchase of any new Funskool toy at all stores of Mera Toy Shop.

The collected toys would be distributed by Concern India foundation via NGO''s to every underprivileged child in Chennai. Funskool also plans to extend this activity in other metros in the coming year.
