Gitanjali Gems gets Bipasha Basu as new brand ambassador for jewellery brand Gili

Mumbai: Bipasha Basu is the new brand ambassador for jewellery brand Gili.

Gili was earlier acquired by diamond and jewellery company manufacturer and retailer Gitanjali Group. A television commercial is already on air featuring the actress. Earlier in the month, Gitanjali Gems had signed up Bollywood starlet Katrina Kaif as its new brand ambassador for its other jewellery brand Nakshatra.

Mehul Choksi, chairman of Gitanjali Group said Gili was a brand of mass appeal and that Bipasha Basu as brand ambassador would ''endorse her alluring personality on its products, which is a rhapsody of the traditional and modern. Not only were we enthusiastic about the brand fit, but we also feel that Bipasha lends a refreshing look to the brand. We are excited about having her on board as the new face for Gili.''

On her role as brand ambassador for the Gili brand, Bipasha Basu expressed her pleasure at the being associated with Gili, and chose to endore it as she ''can totally depend on the brand value. Diamonds are a girl's best friend, and Gili offers a wide range of diamonds to choose from. I am sure this association would be amiable and mutually profitable.''
